Snapshot – Transformation Berlin TXL

This four-hour tour in the centre of Europe’s largest urban development project offers a unique opportunity to photographically capture the transformation of the former Tegel Airport into an innovation site. We encounter listed architecture, the impressive expanse of the airfield, the first construction fences and building sites. The compilation of the selected areas and spaces opens up a variety of perspectives on their history, present and future.

Each location offers different visual and design challenges that make this tour so lively and varied. We take photos in the large hangar, in the noise control hall, on the southern runway, the apron and in front of the striking central and operations buildings.

Everything is in flux. Temporary as well as permanent changes on the site are essential for this photo-tour. Please note that our photo points may change due to construction work or events on the site. We therefore reserve the right to make changes to the route.
