The walk “Architecture and Redevelopment” and takes you along the iconic architecture of the building ensemble designed by Meinhard von Gerkan, Volkwin Marg and Klaus Nickels (gmp), built from 1969 to 1975, opening up a fascinating panorama of the airfield. The historical and architectural significance of the monument is comprehensively presented in dialogue with the planned subsequent use as an innovation location. The guided tour through the Infocenter’s digital interactive exhibition provides an insight into our planning cosmos: the innovative Urban Tech Republic, the sustainable Schumacher Quarter and the huge Landscape Park. The tour invites you to discover, recognize and think further.
Private tours and tours for educational groups can be requested and booked individually at the Museum Service. Groups can book the site tour, a tour of the Infocenter, or a combination of both tours.
